Oppenheim Signature Smiles

admin : May 19, 2016 7:47 pm : Graphic Design

My experience and reputation working with artists and other visual products attracted the notice of aesthetic dentist, Thomas Oppenheim, DMD. For Dr. Oppenheim, gold medalist for ten consecutive AACD International Smile Gallery Competitions, displaying the artistry of Oppenheim Signature Smiles through before and afters was very important. I enjoyed creating a print and outdoor campaign featuring “Sara’s Signature Smile”.

A Night in New Orleans featured the work of internationally acclaimed artist, James Michalopoulos; photographer and Mississippi River Pilot, Kevin Levine and winners of Thomasville Landmark’s Perspectives in Preservation photography contest..

Kicking off the exhibition was the event A Night in New Orleans. Guests were taken on a trip to the Big Easy with the sounds of the Thomas University Jazz Band accompanying dancers from the South Georgia Ballet. After the performance, the audience enjoyed cajun treats while viewing the artwork and meeting Michalopoulos, the man behind the look of the House of Blues and the New Orleans’ Jazz Fest.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in this event by designing all of the print ads, posters, signage and tickets. I also designed and managed all web and social media aspects of this event.

Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival

admin : October 21, 2012 4:43 pm : Graphic Design, Uncategorized

Art Show 2010, 2011 & 2012

One of the nation’s premier sporting and wildlife arts festivals, PWAF celebrates the outdoors and plantation culture of the Red Hills Region with a show of paintings, sculpture, photography and craft-work, along with lectures and demonstrations on conservation, forestry, hunting, fishing and regional animals.

I have enjoyed over the past several years creating and maintaining the festival’s website pwaf.org, designing ads and other event signage.

I was proud to have my ad placed in the widely distributed national magazine, Garden and Gun. Specialty magazines that have displayed PWAF ads include: Gray’s Sporting Journal, American Angler, Fly Tyer, The Shooting Sportsman, Sporting Classics, the Thomasville Scene, Tallahassee Magazine, Southwest Georgia Living and Thomasville Magazine.

January 2011 the Thomasville Cultural Center launched it’s new name and image as Thomasville Center for the Arts. The branding groundwork, including the logo and font type were developed by Jason Kantner and as the in-house graphic designer I gave input through the strategic planning process, as well as secured and continued the new image forward. The new website, which I designed was also launched during this time.

This event opened with the work of acclaimed Georgia artist, Steve Penley. Known for his work with Coca-Cola, ESPN, University of Georgia and several historical museums, Steve Penley set the scene for a bold start with his bright iconic images. Also displayed was the work of Rebecca Cabassa and the late Elmo Gideon.
